Botswana's Untamed Beauty

Okavango Delta

The Okavango Delta, located in Botswana, is one of the world’s most unique and biodiverse ecosystems. This inland delta, which is not connected to any ocean, experiences seasonal flooding that transforms it into a lush paradise. Home to a vast array of wildlife, including elephants, lions, hippos, and over 400 bird species, it’s a haven for nature enthusiasts and safari-goers.

Here you can explore the delta’s winding waterways and vast floodplains by mokoro on walking safaris, or game drives, making it an unforgettable destination for adventure and wildlife photography. The Okavango Delta is also a UNESCO World Heritage Site. The Okavango Delta is one of Botswana’s top tourist attractions and it has so much to offer. It is ideal for families, solo travellers and groups as well. Let’s get in through this amazing Botswana Destinations.

Best Time To Visit

Okavango Delta

The Best Time to Visit The Okavango Delta is during the dry season, from May to October. This period offers excellent wildlife viewing as animals gather around water sources.
